Shipping Information

Should you wish to ship your amplifier to us for repair, please follow the instructions below. If we receive an amplifier damaged, you will be responsible for the costs to repair the damage.

We recommend Canpar. Their rates are reasonable, and I have had few problems with damaged goods. Their packages are also traceable.

Be sure to have all documentation with the amp. Warranty repairs require a copy of the receipt. We need a good description of the problem. Do not include accessories unless pertinent to the problem.
Package the amp in a strong box, bigger than the amp by at least 2 inches (5 cm.) on each side. Wrap the amp in bubble wrap, or secure it in the box with enough packing material that it DOES NOT move when the closed box is shaken. This is very important, and will prevent damage to the amp due to rough handling.
Secure the box closed. It must not open during shipping.
Be sure to include full return address information.

If you cannot package it yourself, your local music store should be able to help. Print and show them a copy of these instructions. Be sure you understand what the shipping fee is.

You may also wish to visit us with your repair. Please be advised that as we are a busy shop, we cannot make repairs “on the spot”. We require you contact us for an appointment. If you are coming from a distance, we will do our best to accommodate you. Many times, an amplifier can be repaired the same day. For this to happen, you must make an appointment. Please see our “ Contact” section for details.

Amplifiers Plus is located within the same building as Sherwood Music in Kitchener. All consumer-shipped or delivered repairs will be paid to Sherwood upon completion of the repair. If you use your local dealer, you will pay them upon completion of your repair.
